3 D Printing for High Schools

The implementation of 3 D printers into schools and the curriculum is a great idea. This tool has been around for some time now but the improvements to these printers continues. At this stage it is worth investing in this technology, in my opinion. See video clips below for more details. The advantage is that students can build 'things' themselves. The computer aided design program Google Sketch-up is freeware and can be downloaded from the net. It is a very user friendly drawing/design program and this computer program could be used to model almost anything and then send it to the 3 D printer.
